 Birk’s Gasthaus is a mansion completed in 1886 for Mr. Herzog. It is furnished in a variety of antiques including brass beds, furniture and claw foot tubs. The mansion is once again used to entertain guests.
The B&B has nine guest rooms, seven with private bathrooms. We serve a full breakfast. Heat and air are provided by four central units.

These are the survivors from one of our
Murder Mysteries. We schedule them once a month from November
to April and have them for private groups, minimum of 14 people,
when we have availability.

Katy Trail
We pick up and drop off our guests from McKittick or Loutre Market. New bridge with bike lane is now open.

AMTRAK
We also pick up and drop off guests from the Amtrak station. We have four daily trains, two eastbound and two westbound. |

We don’t allow smoking in the building but the porch offers shade, comfortable chairs and generally a nice breeze for those desperate for a cigarette. Also a great place to drink wine and embellish on your past. |
